Advocacy Marketing – The Grey Matter Direct Way
At Grey Matter Direct, we sometimes like to engage in advocacy marketing for people and things we believe in. Two of these are our client, New Life Medical Addiction Services, and veterans affairs advocate Martin Weber. We brought these innovative stakeholders together to discuss a possible relationship that could help America’s under-served veteran community.
Advocacy marketing is usually a variant of political marketing. In this case there is a strong political bent, but we are going further into advocacy marketing because we believe so strongly about each of these two groups.
Martin Weber (Marty to his friends) is a U.S. Army Veteran who is one of the nation’s leading veterans affairs advocates. Of greatest concern to Marty is the treatment that many of our veterans receive through VA medical services. Marty has experienced first hand the loss of a loved one whose medical treatment was handled by the VA system and he is committed to making sure that veterans receive the best possible treatment for any of the conditions they may suffer from including medical issues, PTSD, psychological struggles and substance abuse issues.
Like Marty Weber, the New Life Team feels strongly about America’s veterans and is committed to helping them in any way possible. New Life is one of Grey Matter’s clients and is a disruptive force in addiction treatment and counseling. New Life’s outpatient approach is medicine-based and results focused. Versus traditional 30-day inpatient treatment centers, New Life’s outpatient treatment allows its clients to recover in the comfort of their homes and minimizes the amount of disruption to their careers, schoolwork and home lives.
New Life is considering extending their practice to include services to support the many struggling veterans in our area.
Joining Marty in the meeting were Dr. Joe Savon, New Life’s Medical Director and Co-Founder, Joel Albano, Chief Administration Officer/Co-Founder, and Executive Vice President and former Philadelphia Flyer Todd Fedoruk. The pictures below capture some of the energy and spirit of this important meeting.
