This Good Friday I was invited to a Phillies’ Prayer Breakfast at the Scottish Rite Ballroom in Collingswood, Nj. My host wasPastor Sam Mountain of Wiley Church in Marlton. Other Wiley attendees were Wiley Mission’s CEO and President, Gary F. Gilmore, and Wiley Church’s Connections & Youth Pastor, Bill Ashe.
It was a very special event and got everyone energized for a very special Easter Weekend! The Phillies’ Chaplain, Jeff Boettcher, was the keynote speaker and he did a great job getting the men in the room to take a different perspective on their lives as they approached this holy weekend for Christians.
We were joined by former Eagles linebacker and broadcaster Garry (G.) Cobb. G. Cobb gave the introduction and Pastor Sam concluded the events with comments and prayers. I really appreciated being invited to this special event!
